who will photograph my wedding? I matt Pavel will personally photograph each wedding.
Do you ever work with an assistant? Yes, an assistant photographer will accompany me to weddings and events as needed.
How would you describe your style of photography? I tend not to describe my style as photojournalistic because photojournalists are not allowed to interact with their subjects. However, I do tend to keep my distance and photograph your event as it unfolds but I am not afraid to step in and suggest ways in which to make your images better.
How many photographs do you usually take at a wedding? There are many variables to this question but for the most part you can expect to see between 400 and 800 final images from your wedding day.
What type of equipment do you use? Only the best! Currently I am using professional Canon camera bodies along with Canon L series lenses.
Do you have a backup camera? Yes, In fact I have a backup for my backup.
How far in advance are you booked? Clients generally book 6-12 months in advance. However, even with a weeks notice I will photograph any event if the date is still available.
Do you travel to photograph weddings? Yes, Who wouldnÕt? Travel expenses paid of course such as flights, hotel, and car rental if needed.
How do we reserve or book the date? A signed contract and retainer payment are required to reserve your date.
What are your payment terms? A retainer of half of your package total is required upon completion of the contract. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding date.
When will we first be able to see the images? Your images are generally ready to view within several weeks after your wedding day. We can then make an appointment for you to see the images in person or if you prefer we can make an online slideshow.
When can we expect our albums? This question also has many variables but generally after you choose the images for your album, it can take up to a month for your album to be designed and sent to the presses. The album companies will then have up to 6 weeks to return the finished product.
Do you use film or digital? I have converted over to the digital realm but have kept all of my film equipment for those rare special requests. If you prefer your wedding to be shot on film I can certainly accommodate.
Where do you get prints made? I use a variety of professional labs all over the country depending on your needs.
Can you do re-touching or manipulation to the images? Yes, I am quite skilled at Photoshop retouching techniques and usually choose several of your best wedding images to perfect. If, however, you have any special requests please do not hesitate to ask.
